Kanban and Scrum, making the most of both

Two short books in one, the first comparing Scrum and Kanban as tools rather than as rival methods, the second a set of case studies from teams that used them. Kniberg's half works through what each one prescribes, where they overlap, and what changes when you drop timeboxed iterations in favour of a work in progress limit. Skarin's half describes real adoptions, including an operations team and a team moving from Scrum to Kanban, along with the measurements they used to tell whether it helped. The framing that both are process tools sitting on the same shelf, picked up according to the problem in front of you, is the part most worth taking away. It is dated in places and remains the clearest short comparison of the two.
