Professional Scrum Product Owner I

An exam-based credential for Product Owners, assessed against the 2020 Scrum Guide and Scrum.org's published Professional Scrum Competencies.

What it covers. The exam tests whether you can apply the Scrum framework as written, rather than recall definitions. Most questions describe a situation on a Scrum Team and ask what should happen, so the accountabilities, the events and their timeboxes, and the three artifacts with their commitments all need to be held precisely.

The heaviest weighting sits on managing products with agility: the Product Goal, ordering the Product Backlog, refinement, forecasting, and how value is measured and validated. Preparation is mostly a matter of reading the Scrum Guide closely, then working through scenarios until the boundaries between accountabilities are automatic.

Sixty minutes for eighty questions is roughly 45 seconds each, so pace matters as much as knowledge. Timed practice is the part of preparation people most often skip.
