The Scrum Guide

The definition of Scrum by the two people who created it, running to about thirteen pages in the November 2020 revision. It sets out the theory of empiricism and lean thinking, the five values, the three accountabilities, the five events and the three artefacts with their commitments. The 2020 revision removed the three questions from the Daily Scrum, replaced the development team with developers inside a single Scrum Team, and added the Product Goal as the commitment for the Product Backlog. Every Scrum certification exam is written against this document, and most disagreements about Scrum in practice turn out to be arguments about things the Guide never says. It is published in over thirty languages.
