The Nexus Framework for Scaling Scrum

Kurt Bittner, Patricia Kong and Dave West

About this book

Nexus is the Scrum.org framework for a small number of Scrum Teams working from a single Product Backlog, and this is the book that explains it. It adds a Nexus Integration Team accountable for one integrated increment, along with refinement and planning events designed to surface cross team dependencies before they cause trouble. Most of the book is a case study following a group of teams through their first Nexus, which shows the events and the integration work in sequence rather than as a diagram. It stays close to the Nexus Guide and is short enough to read before a first attempt. It is also the reference text for the Scaled Professional Scrum assessment.
