The practical companion to This Is Service Design Thinking, built as a handbook of activities rather than as an argument for the discipline. It covers research, ideation, prototyping, implementation and facilitation, with step by step instructions for methods such as journey mapping, service blueprinting, stakeholder mapping and desktop walkthroughs. Later chapters deal with the organisational side, including embedding service design in a company and running a project when nobody there has done one before. The pages are heavily annotated with case studies and comments from practitioners, and a companion set of method cards is available separately. Large, and used as a working reference during a project.
